Oh, for a loud and powerful voice to
echo endlessly through my heart--Jesus, Jesus. I would have my words and works show to the world active faith and ardent hope. Heavenly love dwells, like seed or a sign, in the chosen soul who sees, listens to, and understands Jesus, who allows His courage to rouse the mind to knowledge, self- chastisement, and unreserve. To call on Him like this makes me strong and beautiful; it becomes natural to long for Him. Then for that last battle with my enemy I'll be ready--armed with belief alone my heart long accustomed to call on Him. |
